Is finderscope important for your telescope?

The finder scope is one of the main parts of a telescope. It gives you a wider horizon to look at before precisely targeting any celestial body. It is a wide-field optical device that assists you in pinpointing your object. It is a monocular scope with much lesser magnification, attached and fitted with a telescope. It is regarded as an essential component of a telescope. Without having one you will struggle to focus on your desired object in the sky. Generally, it is fitted at the top or the side of the telescope. It is recommended to have a telescope with a finderscope attached to it.  However, you can buy one that is compatible with your telescope. Don’t forget to align your finderscope with the main scope before observing celestial objects in the sky.
